Aurès weavings

Unlike clothing, the geometric patterns of blankets, cushions and bags are more varied.
They mainly include points, straight or broken lines, squares, triangles. But it is above all the diamond which constitutes the favorite design. Diamonds inscribed one inside the other, large diamonds subdivided into small diamonds. Simple or compound stripes of various widths are used to accentuate the division into bands of patterns of white, orange, brown, black, blue, green.
In some weavings, goat and/or camel hair is mixed with wool.
