Serval Felis serval

It is a large cat with very long legs and a slender shape with a small head. It has large erect oval ears. Its tail is small. The coat is buff to yellowish, characterized by black spots and stripes.
The underside is whitish or light yellow. The serval is a typically African species found in forests, in mountains, near marshy places or rivers, as well as in desert regions.
It is a nocturnal species, but can sometimes be active during the day. The serval feeds on lizards, rodents, hares, birds, fish and plants.
