20th Anniversary of National Service
The National People's Army has contributed to the realization of a large number of socio-economic projects through the National Service established in 1969 and the young conscripts who compose it. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of National Service, young conscripts can legitimately feel proud of the results of what they have achieved in the realization of numerous projects, the most notable of which are:
- the green barrier for the fight against desertification and land reclamation;
- construction for the benefit of populations in deprived areas;
- communication routes: roads, airfields and railways;
- dams and small and medium hydraulic works.
The work continues and continues throughout the national territory with the active participation of young people from the National Service for the realization of planned projects. National Service can rightly be considered as a major training school where, in addition to military training, men benefit from professional and civic training, offering them the opportunity to live in community and get to know each other better, thereby strengthening the feeling of national solidarity.
National Service thus allows every Algerian to prepare to fulfill the sacred duty of defending the country, while participating in actions aimed at the development and growth of our society.
