Integration of young people
July 5, 1990 is celebrated the 28th anniversary of independence, but also Algerian Youth Day. Alongside workers, peasants and djounoud (soldiers), Algerian youth occupy a preponderant place in the ranks of the country's active forces, forces engaged in the reconstruction of an Algeria bruised by seven long years of war.
Like the young people of the November 1954 generation who made efforts and sacrifices for the liberation of the country, the Algerian youth of today, always faithful to the ideals of their glorious elders, excludes all individualism to advocate, even promote the virtues of solidarity, disinterestedness and self-sacrifice in the service of the economic, social and cultural development of Algeria.
Aware of the significant human potential represented by this important segment of society, the public authorities have undertaken various actions aimed at opening the way for a life more in harmony with the aspirations of young people, in particular the policy of social integration, employment and the promotion of youth. Freed from all the prejudices of a bygone social order, the latter asserts itself through its enthusiastic and efficient participation in the construction of a better future.
The dynamic role of Algerian youth is not negligible. It is illustrated in particular through the significant achievements accomplished within the framework of National Service which has become a tradition from which no young person imbued with the superior values of the nation can escape. Aware, moreover, of its obligation towards the Revolution and the sacrifice of the chouhada, this youth knew how to make itself worthy of continuing the march of the November Revolution, by taking the train of evolution and the overhaul of the country.
