Bordj El Kiffan (Water Fort)

Built to ensure the defense of the promontory of Matifou, an inscription in Arabic dates its construction back to Mohamed Pasha (1722-1723). This fort was equipped with eleven (11) embrasures and ten cannons: Four (04) on the sea side, one (01) on the land side, and the others pointed to the right and left on the square.
