Cirta Constantine National Public Museum
The National Public Museum CIRTA was created at the initiative of the Constantine Archeology Society, baptized in 1852 as the municipal museum of Constantine, located at a place called “Koudiat Aty” opposite the old rock in the city center. It was built in the Greco-Roman style, a rectangular building with a garden which contains some engravings and sculptures in the middle and a corridor decorated with pillars, it was inaugurated in 1931 in the name of Gustave Mercier its founder until July 5, 1975, renamed Cirta, the ancient and historical name of Constantine.
