Harvests Variety Massinissa
The Massinissa variety was included on the official list of self-pollinated cereal varieties in 2012. It is a variety of durum wheat, with a medium development cycle, an erect habit and medium height, with long ears. It is distinguished by a high yield of grain and straw, as well as good quality of semolina. Among its main physiological characteristics, we note excellent tolerance to lodging, drought, cold and stress. It also exhibits significant resistance to major fungal diseases such as stripe rust, leaf rust, powdery mildew, septoria and fusarium head blight. This variety is particularly adapted to the High Plateaux and the interior plains of the East. The optimal sowing period is between mid-November and mid-December.
